My Dad

I have chosen for my someone special my Dad. I am so blessed that he is my Dad. I wrote something special about him. " He is as strong and tuff as a gator. He is as soft and sweet as a rose petal. He has a heart of gold, If the truth be told . In my eyes he does no wrong. He has a character that is rare to find. On his word you can depend. All memories are a story. He has a gift of telling them. I could listen for hours and never get tired. His hands are worn out working hands. His feet won't rest with things to do. He will help you anyway he can. He has a love for my Mother like no other. Fifty six years some with tears he will pervail through the fears. There is so much more that I could say, but I think I will call it a day. Love you Dad!

Pebbles Birthday Party

I know I know you people think does this girl not have a life? I LOVE my dogs! They are always the same. They love me when I'm sad, happy, tired , and grouchy what more can you ask for?

Today Pebbles is six years old. I got her last September Her owners wanted to give her away. Anita's sister Vickie worked for the owners. She called the office to see if Anita knew anyone that would take her. I said I would & that is the adoption story of Pebbles. The other attendee at the party is my dog Sheldon he is six he will be seven in November. ( Her hat fell over her eyes in one picture. She ran into her cupcake and knocked it over in a picture.)

Mushroom Stick

Yesterday I found this stick in the front yard.

I know I have done mushrooms before. However I thought this was quite odd, mushrooms on a stick. Sounds almost edible doesn't it?

The Pebbles Adventure

Yesterday Pebbles and I went exploring in the marsh on our sandy beach area. She was so funny chasing after the fiddlers. She only wanted the ones in the marsh grass. You can't see her face because she is on a mission. I took a picture of a family of fiddlers. Those little boogers are fast don't you know! If you enlarge the picture you can see them better.

Goodbye Mrs. Ella Mae Woods

This is a sad day a landmark of Sheldon has been taken away today. The last reminder of a sweet Godly woman's home has been removed. We will miss looking over there and not seeing her home. I always felt her presence still being there and sitting in the dining room looking out the window. Alot of things have gone on over there since she passed away. I'm sure most of the things would not have pleased her.

Blessed

I thank God for my many blessings everyday. I was walking around in my back yard and the view is breathtaking. This is overlooking the marsh. I almost have a beach. The first picture is looking over towards the railroad . The sandy area is close to the bridge. True lowcountry photos. Jamie more pictures for you.

Miles Car

This is on the back of Miles car. We bought it used it had belonged to a Navy Chaplin. Miles never took it off. This car has been in 3 wrecks in Charlotte. He was hit from behind 2 times & in the side once. I really believe God is watching over him. We used to say that he drove in Charlotte on a wing and a prayer.

FAITH THE SOLID ROCK

What comes to mind when I think of Faith? I think of Jesus dying on the cross for me. The blood that he shed for me. He lives in my heart. My Solid Rock. One of my favorite scriptures Proverbs 3 : 4 & 5 shown above. The Solid Rock song says it all. My Faith is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand.

Recycling Attendant

Hi everybody this is Carol. She works in Sheldon at the recycling center. I talk to her when I take my trash there. She is a very nice Lady. She is a very hard working woman. She is 70 years old and a divorcee which is why she struggles financially. She holds I think at least 1 other job and one time I thought 2 jobs. Carol's home was robbed a month or so ago. They really trashed everything that they didn't steal. Today when I talked to her she said early Sunday morning about 2:30A.M. She heard something. Someone was trying to break in again. They were taking her door off. They had cut the phone lines also.

She managed to call 911. She said about four cars of officers arrived. Of course they didn't catch anybody. This is so odd because last night I had made up mind to take her picture today for my blog. (GOD SPEAKING) which I didn't realize until today why. I asked her if I could take her picture for my blog and I would request prayer from everyone for her. She was so thankful. If you all would remember her in your prayers please.

"Men Projects"

Bless his heart he is one of those "Men" that love projects and gadgets! He decided to go to Lowes and purchase "Project things" for making a grill. As you see the famous flower pot.

Lets put it this way, it is the second flower pot he has cracked due to excessive heat! My flower pot being the first one. He did however manage to cook the steaks. They were very good.

I HAVE ROSES

I was walking around the yard and what did I see? Three tiny roses on the tree. They are slightly flawed but I am amazed to even see any at all. The deer must have missed a meal. They eat my rose bushes.

Sunday School Class

These are some of my Favorite people! We are missing some children. Bailey was sick. I hope to take another picture when we have a full class.

I keep saying I'm going to take a break from teaching but it doesn't happen. It is so rewarding to see the children learning (I hope they are parents). They are such a blessing to me!

Mr. Scarecrow Man

Well I saw this guy over at Cotton Hall. I don't think he has to work very hard now. The corn looks pretty fried and dry. I'm not sure why this garden is there. It isn't Daddy's main garden.

These are the Cotton Hall horses. They just looked so laid back today. Standing around grazing without a care.

Remember that song Signs, Signs? They tell us where to go how to go & when to go where we are. How to get there how to return and things we shouldn't do. Do they help or do they confuse us?

Tree Shapes

The knotty tree is in the woods by my garage. I see it everyday. I always think I should take a picture . So today I did. Then out on the road I got a picture of the tree with the holes. Also the tree that looks like a deer. How convenient deer season started yesterday. I have passed these trees a ga-zillion times. Today they just jumped out at me!

Does anyone know the name of this flower? This is out by my pool its a bush and then it blooms.

Birthday Party

We had a very nice Birthday dinner tonight. I cooked spaghetti and Anita made salad & we had bread. We had Birthday cake & presents & cards. I think Mom had a good time. We are all thankful for the time we have with her. She will be wearing her new pantsuits to church. She loves jewelry and pretty clothes.

Day out with Mom

Today I took Mom to Wendy's for lunch. After lunch we went to Dollar General in Yemassee.

It's so sad to see the strong woman I know disappearing everyday. I am now the parent which is a very hard thing to do. In an hour or so she was completely tired. (Jessica was with us also).

Tribute To My Baby Boy

Today Miles is 22 Years old. Unbelievable!

He has grown into a wonderful man. He is on his way to a great career. I am so proud of him & what he has accomplished so far. I thank God for choosing us to be his parents!
